Trôo ....Part Deaux!

Pepe's Morning Insight:

"The game of love is never called on account of darkness."

We have been eating great...ALLOT of fresh salads, "pain chaud" or hot bread, incredible meals around the table with family...in fact what I have noticed is there are hardly any fast food outlets...McDonalds every now and then...and only one KFC, that I have seen...

But when we saw this....Linda hit the "bonbon" (french for candy) pretty hard...she was in there for a while...Max asked her if she got one of each!

This is the church in Trôo...it dates back to the 12th century. The church houses an impressive array of murals or frescoes dating to the 12th and 13th century...all which tell Biblical stories.

Later in the day we took a walk to meet one of Sylvie's friends...an artist who lives totally in a cave.

This was a great place.

Sylvie's friend only started painting 10 years ago...she has quite the talent.

Soon we were off to Chambord...

Chambord was built for use as a hunting lodge in 1519 for King Francois as a hunting lodge...he only spent 72 days at the lodge...apparenly his heirs finished it...

The picture below is a canal that Louis XIV had built so he could arrive by boat in secret with his mistress...I suggested to Linda I might be able to do the same in Palmer Lake...she looked at me...
A great picnic on the grounds...great day...great company....
That is not Boone's Farm Linda is drinking...we forgot out cups...

Some old ruins nearby...

We headed home and ate dinner that night...Max offered something he wouldn't tell us what it was...
He did say...Don't worry...It's doesn't have anything like animal testicles in it..."oh well in that case...give me 2 servings"....you can kind of read it on my face...i had a hard time swallowing!

Anyway next stop...back to Paris to meet more family!!!
